Border Nomads are based in East London. We play once
a month on a Sunday. We play four courses and have now
added one more to our playing list. East London, West
Bank, Alexander, King Williamstown and now Gonubie Golf
Club.
Our Captain of the club at present is Mark Lindstrom
with Ivan Schutte his VC and Kidwell Melane the JVC. The
Border club are an extremely proud club and like to
think that we are what a Nomads club should be all
about. We tend to travel very well as a club and have a
great sense of comradely. Should you want to know more

The December Game was Held at the East London Golf Course. This was our annual Gold Cup day and it was amazing from the word go. The weather was perfect and the course was in great condition as they get it ready for the "Africa Open 2012". The Club was handed over to our new Captain Ivan Schutte by our outgoing Captain Mark Lindstrom. Mark has really left his mark on the club (excuse the pun). We wish Ivan and his committee the best for the coming year. The prize giving table was amazing and looked great. Big thank you to Emil Hempel of MOTORBAKE for your continued support. Please support our sponsors guys.

EQUIPMENT OFFICERS REPORT
It has been an honour to serve Nomads as the equipment officer for the past two years. I first want to thank the members for giving me this opportunity through which I learnt a lot about the club. I want to encourage every member to participate in the committee activities. This is the only way you fully understand the role of Nomads. This is not only playing golf around the country and the world but also its responsibility in the society in general. You also appreciate the inputs and sacrifices made by various committee members more especially the executive committee.
Now I am aware this is a peoples’ organisation. Before joining the committee I thought this is a rigid and autocratic organisation. Now I know it is a club amenable to change through normal democratic processes. Therefore I challenge the youngsters in particular to avail themselves for committee duties so that they can influence any forward changes.
Thanks again for the opportunity.
