Vice Captains Report February 2012

We had our monthly game at Alexander Golf club. This game included the first round of the Gary Player Knock out and the Old Mutual International pairs. The course is in a much better conditions which I haven’t seen in a long time. The weather played its part from waking up in a rainy morning to the windy day and this can been seen from the scores of the day. Matchbox= 18 points and the best score of the day being 36 points. I want to take this opportunity to thank the Alexander golf club for the work they have done in ensuring that the course is in a great nick.

Everything ran smoothly for the day with the prize giving starting at 18h10.

I urge all Nomads to bring their Bells books in our next game which is on 4 March 2012 so that their tickets can be entered in the draw which will be done at the Nationals.

The Andrew Mentis committee for 2012 has been announced and is as follows, led by myself, Ivan Schutte, Stuart Bell, Mark Lindstrom(sponsorship), Jan Labuschagne, Craig Sinclair, Clive Warmberg, Owen O’Neill, Alan Greene, Wayne Zietsman, Bert De Wilzen, Travis Venter and Rob Cummings. I welcome you all gentlemen, I am sure you will enjoy the fundraising activities that are set for us this year.
